Get to know us a little better

How do I get started?

Please fill out the contact form and a member of our team will reach out to answer any questions you might have about our program. The next step is to schedule a free assessment. Request your appointment here.

What if my child has an IEP?

We can align our goals with your child’s IEPs to provide extra support. ELC also works with IEPs to incorporate the accommodations and modifications that your child uses in school.

Is there an assessment?

Yes! In order to design your custom learning plan, it’s important for us to get some information about your student. The assessment is free and takes about 45 minutes for each subject.

What does it cost to attend Empowered?

Empowered offers tuition plans which can be paid on a monthly basis. We offer discounts depending on how many lessons your student takes. You can look here for our tuition rates for students who attend class once or twice per week. If you’d like to explore an option that isn’t on the list of tuition plans, please reach out here and we can design a custom program for you.

Do you accept ClassWallet?

Yes! We are an approved vendor with ClassWallet.

Does Empowered offer online classes?

Yes! We offer online sessions for individuals who cannot attend in-person. Online classes are taught via zoom. While our in-person classes are 60-minutes each and take place in small groups, our online classes are 1-on-1 for 30 minutes. We are not able to accommodate requests to change between online and in-person classes, so please note that when you pick a format we request that you finish out your tuition plan in that format.

Who are the teachers?

Our instructors come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are certified teachers who also work in schools, and some come from different backgrounds but love sharing their individual expertise with our students. You can find out more about the Empowered learning team here.

Where does the name “Empowered” come from?

The name “Empowered” reflects our mission to give students the support they need with a process that encourages their autonomy and independence. We take a collaborative approach, working with students and families to set personal learning goals and to develop the skills they need to move forward on their individual learning journey.

Empowered also stands for “empirically powered education”. In addition to being informed by theory, our educators have learned the most effective teaching methods through decades of combined experience. Our program is evidence-based because we use current research to inform our curriculum and our teaching practices, but nothing can replace the hands-on experience teachers have cultivated after years of student engagement.

When can we start?

Because our program is tailored to the individual, you can start your personalized learning journey with Empowered at any time! Register today!
